Hello Reader,
I might just get this doll completed in time for ODACA Day! Designing and sewing Amelia's jacket was even more challenging than her boots. Seriously. I think I could have make a jacket for myself in less time!

As with her other clothing, the jacket was first drafted out of paper towel, and then muslin. I was going to add a couple pockets, but forgot all about them until the jacket was already on her body (it's not removable, or least not without difficulty).
She's a baldy right now, but she'll get her hair after I make her flight cap (though I'm not sure what color it'll be yet). I have an idea or two about the goggles and lenses.
Her wooden base still needs painting, and I'll probably give her a silky scarf. Light blue, I think. And lastly, her facial coloring will be defined a bit more.
On another note, there are 10 days left until my last shift at the hospital. What a varied bunch of emotions I've been experiencing though! It's exciting, but also quite unsettling.
